MCS milestones

The heritage of Master goes back to the early sixties when the company Desa created the first Master air flow heaters in the United States of America. Year after year, Desa grew worldwide expanding in other countries and opening manufacturing and sale facilities abroad. In March 2011 Desa changed its name into Master Climate Solutions enhancing at the same time its dedication to the climate and the priority of the brand Master.


1954

Dayton, Ohio introduces the first kerosene heater

1964

The first portable heaters factory founded in Bowling Green, KY

1980

Master heaters gain almost 90% USA market shares

1991

Portable heaters introduced to European market – the acquisition of

Jennen B.V. in Rotterdam which becomes Desa Europe soon.

1998

Desa Poland established in Poznań, Poland

2000

A new factory, Desa Italia, founded in Italy, Verona

2002

Desa Italia begun the production of gas heaters

2004

The development of oil heaters production range at Desa Italia

2005

Desa Poland introduces the first electric heaters produced in Poland

Desa Italia launches the infrared oil heater XL9

A new office in Moscow, Russia opened

2007

A successful development of oil heaters range in Desa Italia

A new division in China – Desa China established

Desa Poland moves to a new place – bigger warehouse, production line and offices

2008

Desa Italia and Desa Poland introduce high output heaters

The first dehumidifiers constructed and manufactured in Poland

2009

The development of Master dehumidifiers range - the offer consists of professional,

semi-professional and household dehumidifiers, now

Desa Poland introduces B 18 EPR – electric heater with flexible hose connection

2010

The spare parts warehouse is moved to Poland

Desa Poland becomes a spare parts distribution center for whole Europe

A big development of cabinet heaters range

2011

Desa becomes MCS – Master Climate Solutions
